Brendale Street Park is a fenced off-leash dog park in Brendale, a casual suburban space with grass to run on and secure gates so you can let a keen dog off the lead. It is a straightforward local run rather than a destination park, best treated as a quick, safe stretch close to home or a stop on the way past, not a place you build a day around.

The dog setup

Standard City of Moreton Bay off-leash conditions apply: keep your dog on lead until inside the enclosure and the gate is shut, then under effective voice control while off-leash. Close the gates behind you, pick up after your dog, and remove any dog showing aggression. Owners are expected to stay inside the enclosure and supervise.

The fenced area is grassed with some natural shade and bench seating. Water and bins with bags are sometimes provided but not guaranteed, so bring your own bowl and bags rather than counting on them.

Max: the grass can get muddy after Queensland rain, so keep a towel in the car. Street parking near these smaller reserves fills quickly at peak times too.

The vibe

This is a neighbourhood park where the same local dogs turn up rather than a crowd from across the shire. Quietest on weekday mid-mornings; busiest straight after work and school and on weekend mornings. Good for a fast, secure off-leash break rather than a long outing, and handy for Brendale workers grabbing a run with the dog between shifts.

Getting there and parking

The park sits in the Brendale industrial-adjacent pocket south of Strathpine, reached off the local street network between South Pine Road and the Gympie Arterial Road corridor. Parking is street-side near the reserve and can be tight at the after-work peak, so a quick arrive-early routine pays off.

Close by with the dogs

The bigger Sweeney Reserve fenced dog park at Petrie adds shelter, a water fountain and paths for a longer visit, and Piggott Reserve is the other fenced option in Brendale. Groupheads and Grind is a local coffee stop on the way through.
