Mulbeam Park Fenced Dog Park

Mulbeam Park Fenced Dog Park sits on the corner of Beams Road and Muller Road in Boondall, a fully fenced off-leash area with a double-gated entrance and a set of basic agility obstacles. It is open around the clock and reads as a proper suburban local: well used but well kept.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on leash until you are through the double gates and inside the fenced area, then off-leash is fine under voice control and supervision. Poop bags are provided on site, and aggressive dogs must be leashed and removed immediately. Close both gates behind you; the double-gate setup exists to stop dogs bolting while you are getting the lead off.

Inside there are shaded shelters and benches, a water fountain for dogs and the agility equipment. The wider park adds a children's playground, toilets and BBQs, and the space is wheelchair accessible. Lighting for early morning and evening visits makes the pre-work lap practical year round.

Worth knowing

There are no tidal or waterway hazards on site, but the park backs onto wetland country, so expect more mosquitoes around dusk in summer. Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Thursday mornings and evenings are the busiest times; mid-week mornings or midday are quieter.

Pepsi: the agility obstacles are basic but good fun for a spare ten minutes after the main off-leash run, worth a lap if your dog likes a bit of structure.

Getting there and parking

Free on-site parking at the Beams Road and Muller Road corner makes this an easy one by car, with off-street parking also reached via Muller Road. Boondall Station on the Shorncliffe line is within reasonable walking distance, and local bus routes stop near the park.

Close by with the dogs

For a bushland walk, the Billai Dhagun Circuit runs through the Boondall Wetlands nearby, and Boondall Dog Park is the other local off-leash option. Downfall Creek Dog Park at Geebung is a bigger space a few minutes west, and Sandgate Foreshore Park Dog Off Leash Area adds water for swimmers.
