Mulbeam Park Fenced Dog Park sits on the corner of Beams Road and Muller Road in Boondall, a fully fenced off-leash area with a double-gated entrance and a set of basic agility obstacles to keep things interesting. It's open 24 hours and reads as a proper suburban local, well used but well kept.
The rules. Dogs need to be on a leash until you're through the double gates and inside the fenced area, then off-leash is fine under voice control and supervision. Poop bags are provided on site, use them and bin the waste. Aggressive dogs must be leashed and removed immediately. Close both gates behind you, the double-gate setup is there to stop dogs bolting out while you're getting the lead off.
What's there. Shaded seating, shelters and benches, a water fountain for dogs, and agility equipment. The wider park has a children's playground and toilets nearby, and free parking is available on site at the Beams Road/Muller Road corner. It's wheelchair accessible.
Getting there. Free on-site parking makes this an easy one by car. Boondall Station on the Shorncliffe line is within reasonable walking distance if you're coming by train.
Watch-outs. No tidal or waterway hazards on site, but it backs onto wetland country, so expect more mosquitoes around dusk in summer.

When to go. Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Thursday mornings and evenings are the busiest according to local reports; mid-week mornings or midday are quieter. Good for owners who want a fenced, dog-only exercise stop close to the train line rather than a full walking destination.
