Pioneer Crescent Park Fenced Dog Park

Pioneer Crescent Park's fenced dog park is the quieter, residential-street alternative to Booker Place in Bellbowrie: a fully fenced, double-gated yard tucked into a suburban block, with separate zones for big and small dogs and a generally calmer crowd than the bigger parks draw.

The dog setup

Dogs go on-leash in the surrounding parkland but can run off-leash once inside the fenced area. Brisbane City Council's off-leash rules apply: stay inside the fenced zone with your dog, keep it under voice control, carry a leash, and bag and bin the mess, with bags often provided on site. Female dogs in heat are not permitted, and any dog showing aggression is leashed and removed straight away. The park splits into dedicated sections for large and small dogs, with a water fountain for dogs and shaded bench seating for owners.

Max: the big-dog and small-dog split here is genuinely useful if your dog gets nervous around boisterous crowds, just double check the gate latches behind you on the way in.

Worth knowing

Late afternoons on weekdays and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds; weekday work hours or a late evening visit suit shy or anxious dogs better. Shade is limited in parts of the fenced area come afternoon, so factor that in over summer. The rest of the park has a small children's playground with a zip line, swings and a climbing frame, plus open green space.

Getting there and parking

The park sits at 33 Pioneer Crescent, Bellbowrie. Free street parking runs along Pioneer Crescent itself, and by car you come in off Moggill Road near the Coles Moggill precinct. Several bus routes run along Moggill Road from Indooroopilly or Chapel Hill, with a short walk in from the nearest stop.

For a proper cafe stop, The Curious Caravan Café and Hitching Post Bar + Grill are both a short drive away in Pullenvale, and Booker Place Park Fenced Dog Park is the bigger, busier sibling option in the same suburb.
