Booker Place Park's fenced dog park sits inside a larger family reserve on Birkin Road, Bellbowrie, with a fully enclosed off-leash area for the dogs and a playground, skate park and bike paths for the humans who tag along.

The rules. Off-leash only applies inside the fenced enclosure. Once you step back out into the surrounding park (playground, picnic areas), your dog goes back on the leash. Getting there. Parking is free and sits right next to the park at 101-137 Birkin Road. Bus routes along Moggill Road stop within a short walk if you're coming without a car.

Nearby with the dogs. MoccaBella in the Bellbowrie Shopping Plaza on Birkin Road is a short drive for coffee. Further afield, The Reserve at Anstead and Little Hippo Cafe in Westlake both have a reputation for welcoming dogs with water bowls and outdoor seating, worth the detour if you're making a morning of it.

When to go. Weekday mornings around 6:30-8:00am and weekend mornings are the busiest, with a good local crowd for socialising. For a quieter visit, aim for mid-morning on a weekday or early afternoon. Good for dogs that enjoy company, since this one gets a regular local roster.
