Clayton Park Fenced Dog Park

Clayton Park Fenced Dog Park occupies a corner of Clayton Park, Beachmere's main community park at 23-45 Biggs Avenue, right in the centre of town near the foreshore. The useful part for dog owners is the split enclosure: separate fenced sections for large and small dogs, with shade and seating, backed by a park that covers the rest of the household.

The dog setup

The dog area is fully fenced with separate large-dog and small-dog zones and a gated entry. Close the gate behind you before unclipping, stay inside with your dog, and keep them under effective control while off-leash. Dogs stay on-leash everywhere else in Clayton Park. Bins are provided for droppings, and any dog showing aggression should be removed from the enclosure. A water fountain serves the dog area, with shaded seating for owners.

Pepsi: the size split is the win here. Small dogs get their own yard instead of being traffic in the big-dog run.

The vibe

Weekdays are quieter; weekends and the late-afternoon window from about 4pm to 6pm are busiest. There is shade, but the enclosure still fills on hot days, so go early. The wider park adds electric barbecues, picnic tables, public toilets, shelters, a basketball court, a skate park, a playground and outdoor fitness gear, so it works as a full family stop.

Getting there and parking

Beachmere is roughly an hour's drive north of the Brisbane CBD. There is an on-site car park plus street parking on Biggs Avenue, and the park is walkable from the Beachmere foreshore. The caravan park sits right next door.

More off-leash nearby

For sand and water, Beachmere Offleash Dog Beach is minutes away on the foreshore. If you are passing through inland, Burpengary Dog Park and Harris Avenue Sports Complex in Narangba are both fenced options on the way back to the highway. Afterwards, The Black Cat Eatery in town is the coffee stop.
