Baringa Forest Park Fenced Dog Park

Baringa Forest Park Fenced Dog Park is a purpose-built off-leash facility at the far end of the Baringa Forest Park car park on Toorak Place, in the Aura estate on the Sunshine Coast. It's fully fenced with separate enclosures for small and large dogs, set against native landscaping next to the park's forest-themed playground.

The rules. Dogs must stay on a leash until they are inside the fenced area. Use the correct enclosure for your dog's size, small and large dogs are kept separate. Owners need to stay within the fenced area and keep voice control over their dogs. Clean up after your dog, bins are provided on-site.

What's there. Separate fenced enclosures for small and large breeds, some agility equipment, perimeter benches near the native trees, and bins for waste. The wider Baringa Forest Park also has an 8-metre play structure and picnic shelters if you've got kids in tow.

Getting there. The address is Toorak Place, Baringa. Dedicated parking sits right beside the fenced dog area at the Baringa Forest Park car park, and it's an easy run in off Caloundra Road or the Aura Boulevard entrance. The estate's walking and cycling paths connect through if you'd rather arrive on foot.

Watch-outs. The trees here are still young, so shade is limited. Avoid the middle of the day in summer if you can, and bring your own water regardless of what's on-site.

Nearby with the dogs. Rhythm Espresso and Capo Cafe are both close by in the Aura Business Park for a coffee before or after, and Mummy's Cafe at Nirimba is about five minutes' drive for pet-friendly alfresco dining.

When to go. Weekend mornings and weekday late afternoons (around 4pm to 5:30pm) are the busiest windows. Mid-morning on a weekday, roughly 10am to 1pm, tends to be quieter with more open space to let your dog run properly.
