Gordon Barnard Reserve Fenced Dog Play Area

The fenced dog play area at Gordon Barnard Reserve is a purpose-built, fully enclosed off-leash park in Balwyn North, run by the City of Boroondara. Getting there. The reserve is at 230 Balwyn Road, Balwyn North, between the eastern sports oval and the Boroondara Sports Complex. Free parking is available off both Belmore Road and Balwyn Road, with accessible parking and entrances. It is roughly 1.8km from the nearest tram, so driving is the easier option.

Nearby with the dogs. Cafes along Balwyn Road and Whitehorse Road offer outdoor seating that generally suits dogs. Check each venue's current policy before settling in.

Quietest on weekday afternoons and Sunday evenings; Saturday afternoons are the busiest. Good for small dogs, shy dogs, and anyone who wants a secure fence between their dog and the road.
