Baldivis Fenced Dog Park

The Baldivis Enclosed Dog Park sits inside Barri Barri Park on Acrasia Road, and it is a proper double gated, fully fenced off lead run with a separate small dog pen. If you want a secure spot to let a bolter or a nervous newcomer off the lead, this is the local answer.

The dog setup

Two separate fenced areas cover small dogs and all sizes, with 1.8 metre boundary fencing and a solid internal divider. Standard City of Rockingham conditions apply: dogs under effective voice and visual control inside the pens, back on lead the moment you step outside the gates. When moving through the airlock, let the outer gate latch fully before opening the inner one.

Expect open grass, shaded bench seating, dog water fountains and bowls, waste bag dispensers and a community ball library for fetch gear you forgot. There are no public toilets on site, so plan around that before a long session.

Max: Carry a backup water bottle and a couple of your own bags. The on-site fountains and dispensers are usually stocked, but on a hot afternoon with a full park they can run dry.

Worth knowing

It gets busy in the late afternoon golden hours, roughly 4:30 to 6pm on weekdays, and on weekend mornings. Mid morning to early afternoon on a weekday is the calmer session, and shade is limited in high summer, so check the forecast and bring water.

Getting there and parking

Free off street parking sits right by the entry gates on Acrasia Road, off Baldivis Road and an easy run from the Kwinana Freeway. Transperth buses serve wider Baldivis but drop you a 10 to 15 minute walk away, so most people drive.

Close by with the dogs

Make a day of it with a coffee at Oscar's Bakery or a drink on the patio at The Chase Bar & Bistro. The Nyoongar Trail adds an on lead bushland walk nearby, and the sand at Warnbro Dog Beach is the closest off leash swim.
