Oscar's Bakery

Oscar's Bakery is a family-run bakery and cafe in the Stargate Shopping Centre in North Baldivis, and it welcomes dogs at the covered outdoor tables right by the entrance. It is a handy stop for a coffee and a pie with the dog after a walk around the local reserves.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the undercover outdoor seating out front but not inside, in line with food-safety rules for food premises. There is a dog lead hook on the left of the outside bench, which makes quick orders easy, and the staff are known for being friendly to canine visitors. Bring your own water bowl to be safe, especially on warm days when the covered tables fill up, and keep the lead on while you order at the counter.

Pies, banh mi and the morning rush

The kitchen turns out pies, sausage rolls and cakes alongside Vietnamese-inspired lunch options such as pork banh mi, with reliable coffee to match, and custom cakes are a regular order for locals. Weekday mornings are the calm window and weekends get busy, so a mid-morning visit is the better bet if you want an outdoor table with the dog.

Getting there and parking

Find it at Shop T6, 114 Amazon Drive, Baldivis, with plenty of free parking across the Stargate Shopping Centre car park and ground-level access straight to the door. Once you are fed, the fenced run at Baldivis Fenced Dog Park is the obvious next stop, or take a quieter outing on the Nyoongar Trail or the Don Shepherd Nature Reserve Trail a short drive away.
