The Coffee Kiosk

The Coffee Kiosk is a small locally owned kiosk in the forecourt of Worongary Town Centre in front of Coles, pouring Merlo coffee with outdoor tables right by the counter. It is a quick-stop cafe rather than a sit-down destination, and it is a notably warm one for dogs.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables in the shopping centre forecourt, leashed and settled beside your table. The kiosk has a reputation for handing out free treats to visiting dogs, so good manners at the counter tend to pay off. Bring your own water bowl for busier times.

The draw is Merlo coffee plus a healthy-leaning menu: acai and pitaya bowls, protein balls, smoothies and sourdough or Turkish toasties, with quick, friendly service. Hours run 6.30am to 2pm on weekdays and Saturdays, 8am to noon Sundays, so it is a breakfast-and-lunch spot rather than an afternoon one.

Getting there and parking

The kiosk is at Shop 10A, 1 Mudgeeraba Road, Worongary, with extensive free parking in the Worongary Town Centre car park directly in front. The walk from car to table is flat and short, which makes the logistics easy with a dog, and the rest of the centre's shops are a few steps away if you are combining the coffee run with errands. Mudgeeraba Creek and its surrounding green corridors are a short drive away for a longer lead walk afterwards.
