Odins Hollow

Odins Hollow is the character cafe on Kedron Park Rd in Wooloowin, part vintage shop, part coffee room, and its Facebook page states the dog stance plainly: leashed dogs are welcome in the side courtyard and the outdoor seating areas. Visitor posts back the listing up, and the old world decor gives the outdoor corners more atmosphere than most suburban courtyard setups manage.

Water is a straightforward ask, and the morning trade is the calmest time to bring a dog through the room to the courtyard.

The menu leans baked and simple: toasties, banana bread, scones, cakes and a caramel cheesecake that draws repeat mentions, with the vintage items around the room giving browsing material between courses. Service runs 6am to 2pm weekdays and 7am to 1pm weekends, closed Sundays. The early weekday open suits a dog walk along nearby Kedron Brook before the tables fill, and the closing times mean it is a morning venue through and through. The vintage browsing is part of the experience, so leave a few minutes after the coffee to look through the shop side properly.
