Here Cafe

Here Cafe is a newer bagel and coffee spot at 33 Ryedale Road in West Ryde, a short walk from the train station, with street-side outdoor seating that regularly welcomes dogs on the morning walk circuit. It opens from 6am on weekdays, so it slots neatly into the pre-work routine, and it has already built a 5-star average across its small review base.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables and footpath seating out front, on lead. There is no dedicated water bowl listed, but the staff are attentive and generally happy to bring water for your dog on request, so ask when you order. Being newer, it pays to check the cafe's Instagram before a first visit for the current week's hours, which have shifted between listings.

Worth knowing

The draw is the bagels, made and baked on site, from an everything bagel loaded with seeds to a naturally sweet blueberry version, along with house-made focaccia and well-regarded coffee. Seating is a casual street-side set-up, better for a quick bite than a long brunch.

Getting there and parking

West Ryde train station is a very short walk away. Street parking on Ryedale Road can fill up, and the nearby West Ryde Market Place car park near Coles is a reliable backup within walking distance.

Close by with the dogs

Note that nearby Anzac Park is an on-lead park only, with no off-leash area. For a proper run, the Charity Creek Cascades Dog Park on Linton Avenue is the local option, an open 24-hour off-leash space, while the Ryde Park Fenced Dog Park has a fully fenced enclosure with a water station, and Olympic Dog Park gives a third City of Ryde choice. For a bigger day out, Meadowbank Dog Beach is on the river nearby.
