Project Blue Cafe

Project Blue Cafe is a small neighbourhood cafe on Moggill Road in Taringa that opens early and keeps things simple: proper coffee, a tight brunch menu and a friendly welcome for dogs in the outdoor seating. The kitchen runs a compact all day breakfast and brunch menu. Toasties are the headliners, including a chicken, cheese and avocado number, and french toast and almond croissants get consistent mentions. On the drinks side it is specialty coffee alongside the trendier stuff, with iced matcha a regular order and a rotation of patisserie treats in the cabinet.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at Shop 6, 200 Moggill Road, Taringa, in the local shopping precinct and within walking distance of Taringa station. Street parking is available on Moggill Road and the side streets, and the side streets are the safer bet at peak times. It opens at 6:30am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, and closes early afternoon, so plan a breakfast or brunch visit.

Close by with the dogs

For an off leash session either side of coffee, the Anzac Park fenced dog park in Toowong is the closest big option, complete with a separate small dog enclosure. Back in Taringa itself, Scatter Bean and Hetty and Herms give you two more local cafes to rotate through.
