Revitalise

Revitalise is a neighbourhood cafe on Napier Street, Strathmore's main shopping strip, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out front. It is a long standing local for good coffee and house made gourmet rolls, and the footpath tables make it a natural coffee stop in the middle of a suburb walk.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the footpath seating and parklet out the front rather than the dining room, so keep your dog leashed and settled beside the table. Staff are friendly towards canine visitors and water can be brought out on request, though carrying your own bowl never hurts. Weekend mornings fill the front tables quickly, so a weekday visit or an early start gives you the best pick of spots.

The vibe

The room is cosy and the decor is part of the draw, but the kitchen is the reason regulars keep coming back. The menu covers all day breakfast and brunch, and the house made gourmet rolls made to order at the counter are a signature. Corn fritters and avo toast are consistent picks, the latte art gets name checked in reviews, and there is usually something sweet on the drinks list for the non coffee drinkers.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 293 Napier Street, Strathmore, on the shop strip, an easy stroll from Strathmore station on the Craigieburn line. Street parking out front and on the side streets is generally available, though it tightens up during the weekend brunch rush.

Close by with the dogs

For an off leash run either side of coffee, the Alf Pearce Reserve fenced dog park is the local option in Strathmore. Further along the corridor, Coffee Joint on Napier keeps the same strip rolling into Essendon, and the Calmer Cafe in Aberfeldie is handy to the Maribyrnong River trails.
