Sandy Kiosk is the beach-shack coffee stop sitting right on the sand at Sandringham Harbour, near the yacht club. For dog walkers it is the obvious reward at the end of a foreshore loop, with outdoor tables a few steps from the water.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which is where the seating is anyway given the kiosk itself is small. It is a genuinely dog-heavy crowd of walkers and cyclists, and water bowls tend to be on hand. Bring your own bowl as backup on a hot day.

Good to know. Classic kiosk fare done well: coffee, sausage rolls, milkshakes and beach views over the marina. The draw is the position, not a long menu, a quick refuel with the dog drying off beside you.

Getting there. On the beach side off Jetty Road, Sandringham. The ticketed Sandringham beach car park sits right alongside, and it is a short walk down from Sandringham Station.

Nearby with the dogs. The kiosk opens straight onto the Sandringham Harbour dog beach for a swim, and the paved coastal trail runs behind it for a longer walk. Check the foreshore signage for current off-leash hours before letting your dog off.
