Stevie is a busy brunch cafe at Shop 1, 18-34 Station Street, Sandringham, right by the train station on the village strip. The front pavement seating takes dogs, which makes it the easy first stop on a beach-and-coffee morning in Bayside.

Worth knowing

The kitchen covers proper brunch: corn fritters, eggs benedict, a chicken schnitzel sandwich and the fried chicken tacos that regulars order on return trips, plus gluten-free cakes in the cabinet. The coffee has a claim as the best in Sandringham, which keeps the queue moving on weekends. Doors open 6:30am on weekdays with trade through to 3pm, so there is room for both an early dog walk and a late brunch, though the pavement tables go first on sunny mornings.

Getting there and parking

Station Street runs directly alongside Sandringham station on the Sandringham line, so arriving by train is genuinely practical. Street parking around the village fills with the beach crowd on summer weekends, so earlier is easier.

Close by with the dogs

The Sandringham Harbour Dog Beach is the natural pairing, a short drive around the bay, and Sandy Kiosk covers the beachfront coffee leg. In the village itself, Full Turn Kitchen Bar and Our Little Ray of Sunshine are the alternatives on the same strip.
