Bump & Grind Cafe

Bump & Grind Cafe sits at 1 Selems Parade in Revesby, a short walk from Revesby Railway Station, and it has built its local reputation on two things: a serious brunch menu and a genuinely dog-friendly covered outdoor area. Water bowls are laid on and the kitchen offers treats to canine customers, which puts it on the short list for south-west Sydney dog owners.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the covered outdoor seating area, which keeps you shaded in summer and dry when the weather turns; the indoor room stays human-only. Keep your dog leashed at the tables, and a shorter lead helps in the shared patio space. Bowls come out with the table service, and staff are used to regulars arriving with a dog in tow.

Max: pick a table near the edge of the covered area if your dog is warm-natured, and ask for a treat at the counter. They usually come through.

The vibe

The menu is the reason people queue on weekends: the Knefeh French Toast gets most of the attention, and bacon and egg rolls, eggs benedict and banana bread keep the breakfast side busy. Lunch runs to chicken burgers and smoked salmon, with Toby's Estate coffee in the cup. From Thursday to Sunday the cafe also runs an evening service with burgers, mocktails and shisha, so it is not purely a daylight operation. Hours run from 6am Monday to Friday (to 3pm Monday to Wednesday and 5pm Thursday and Friday) and 8am to 3pm on weekends.

Getting there and parking

The walk from Revesby Station is the easy option; parking is on-street around Selems Parade and the neighbouring blocks. If you are driving in for weekend breakfast, arrive before the crowd or expect a lap or two.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run before or after brunch, Vale of Ah Reserve in Milperra is a short drive west with separate areas for big and small dogs, and Band Hall Reserve Fenced Dog Park sits about ten minutes north with double-gated entry. On-lead options include the riverside paths toward East Hills. For the next coffee stop, Jane + James Espresso in Panania and Manoush & Co in Padstow are both dog-friendly and within a few minutes' drive.
