Clayton & Me

Clayton & Me is the relaxed neighbourhood brunch cafe at 12 Edwardes Street, Reservoir, pouring Code Black Coffee and running an all-day breakfast and lunch menu. The back courtyard is the designated dog zone, which puts it a short walk from Edwardes Lake Park and makes it the natural coffee stop at the end of the lake circuit.

The dog setup

Dogs sit with you in the rear outdoor area and courtyard, with front and rear access making an easy slip in and out; the indoor dining room stays people-only. Fresh water bowls are on hand and the cafe keeps dog treats around at times. There is limited footpath seating out front that can work too when there is space, but the courtyard is the reliable bet.

Worth knowing

The menu runs all-day breakfast and lunch with quality coffee underneath it: gourmet scrambles, halloumi tacos and house-made muffins are the regular mentions, and gluten-free bread is available. It opens seven days and peaks hard at weekend brunch, so expect a short wait for courtyard tables at 9am on a Saturday.

Max: come in through the rear access with the dog. The courtyard is where the bowls and the treats live.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits centrally on Edwardes Street, a short walk from Reservoir Station, with street parking on Edwardes Street and the side streets that fills up during peak brunch hours.
