Idle In Cafe is a rustic, character-filled stop in the heart of Nana Glen, roughly 25 minutes from Coffs Harbour on the Orara Way. The one detail that matters: this place is explicitly dog-friendly, with a welcoming undercover courtyard ready for your dog.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the undercover courtyard, which has easy ground-level access straight from the street. Keep your dog on a short leash for the comfort of other diners. The staff are warm and welcoming to pets, but bring your own portable water bowl to be safe.

Good to know. This is a genuine country cafe serving some of the best coffee and home-baked scones in the Orara Valley. The menu covers freshly prepared breakfast, lunch, and morning tea. The space itself is full of rustic charm, with timber beams and biker memorabilia on the walls.

Getting there. You will find the cafe at 30 Nana St, right on the main road through Nana Glen village. Street parking is available directly out the front. Opening hours are limited: Wednesday to Saturday 8 AM to 3 PM, and Sunday 8 AM to 12 PM. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Combine your visit with a stop at the Coramba Hotel on the drive back toward Coffs Harbour for a second dog-friendly meal or drink option.
