Sunflower Lounge

Sunflower Lounge is a sunny, retro-styled neighbourhood cafe at 37A Spofforth Street in Mosman, a short hop from the Cremorne junction. It trades seven days on breakfast, brunch and lunch plus a steady takeaway coffee run, and the footpath tables out the front are where dogs settle in with their people.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor footpath area, leashed and settled beside the table. Staff keep water bowls out for passing dogs, which turns the cafe into an easy mid-walk stop rather than a planned expedition. There is no dedicated dog menu, but the street-side position gives your dog plenty to watch while you eat. Footpath dining is at the venue's discretion, so keep your dog close and give the servers room to move between tables.

The vibe and the menu

The room has a happy retro feel and the kitchen covers the classics: croque monsieur, poached eggs, ham and cheese croissants and fresh croissants in the cabinet, with milkshakes and iced drinks for warmer mornings. Hours run 6:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 4pm on weekends, so early walk-ins after the morning lap are well covered. Table service, takeaway and an accessible entrance round out a low-fuss setup.

Getting there and parking

Spofforth Street usually has free street parking, with side streets nearby if the frontage fills up. Check signs for time limits. The cafe sits on the busier Cremorne side of Mosman, so run your dog on a short lead along the footpath.

Close by with the dogs

For the walk that earns the coffee, the Cremorne Point foreshore loop is minutes away and ranks among the best harbour walks on the lower north shore. Mosman's off-leash dog area covers the council's designated spots, including Sirius Cove Reserve, which allows off-lead dogs on its western side and beach before 9am and after 4:30pm.
