Mornington Brunch Time

Mornington Brunch Time is a casual cafe in the industrial pocket two minutes from Main Street, at 1 Bennetts Road. It trades on hearty hot brunch rather than beachfront position, with easy parking and dog-friendly outdoor tables, and it is a weekday-only operation: 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, closed weekends.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables on a lead, in a setting far calmer than the foreshore strip since the industrial surroundings keep foot traffic down. Bring your own water bowl to be sure of a drink on a warm day, and keep your dog tucked in beside the table while staff run orders in and out.

Worth knowing

The kitchen is built around generous rolls and burgers: the Southern fried chicken burger and brisket burger get name-checked by regulars, the egg-and-bacon roll does brisk morning trade, and there are fresh salads, wraps and cheese rolls for lighter appetites. Phone pre-orders are an option if you would rather grab and go. Because weekends are off the table, weekday mornings are the entire window, and the 6am opening makes it a legitimate pre-work or pre-walk stop.

Bennetts Road sits in the Mornington industrial area, and parking is typically easier here than on crowded Main Street, which suits arriving with a dog. It is a two-minute drive from the town centre.

Civic Reserve Fenced Dog Park at 1 Billabong Close is the closest proper off-lead run, fully fenced with water stations and agility gear inside a bigger reserve with walking tracks.
