SAMESAME SUPPLY

SAMESAME Supply, known locally as the Shed, is a 1970s Southern-California-themed cafe and creative space right on the Gold Coast Highway at Miami. The whole point is hanging around, and the open-air, lounge-around seating makes it one of the easier Miami stops to settle into with a dog.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome across the casual outdoor areas, a relaxed community-minded setup with couches and open-air tables rather than a formal dining room. No dedicated dog menu, and water bowls are generally on hand but not guaranteed, so carry your own on a busy morning. Keep the lead on and let the dog lounge while you do the same.

Worth knowing

It is known for good coffee, elevated Japanese street food and grab-and-go snacks, plus a games shelf with board games and books if you are staying a while. This is strictly a mornings venue, wrapping up around midday, and opening days can shift around private events and studio bookings, so check its site or Instagram before you commit the walk. Free Wi-Fi and onsite parking round out the practicalities.

The address is 2166 Gold Coast Highway, Miami. Street parking is limited and spread across the highway frontage and surrounding streets, so read the signs. If you are local, it is an easy walk or ride down the back streets.

Make a day of it

Miami Beach is a short walk east for a post-coffee run, though on-sand access is on-lead only outside the designated times. For a proper off-lead session, Pizzey Park's fenced dog park is minutes away with agility equipment and open ground. If the Shed is packed, Caffeine Kings and UE Bagels are both nearby on the same strip.

Best mid-morning on a weekday when a shaded couch is free. Good for dogs who are happy to settle while you linger, less so for dogs needing a run mid-outing.
