UE Bagels Miami

UE Bagels Miami is a small, busy bagel shop at Shop 2/43 Hillcrest Parade, Miami, a short walk back from the beach, and it has a habit of turning up on published lists of the Gold Coast's best dog-friendly cafes. The bagels are hand-stretched and rolled in house daily, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out front.

The dog setup

The rule is simple: dogs outside only, at the tables immediately outside the shop, never inside. Staff are used to dog patrons and will bring out a water bowl on request. Because the footpath seating sits close to passing foot traffic, keep your dog on a short lead and settled beside the chair rather than out in the walkway. It suits a dog who can hold a settle while you eat a bagel in about fifteen minutes.

The bagels

The lineup runs from loaded savoury builds, like the Breaky Bagel and a smoked salmon lox with cream cheese, through rotating specials such as a kimchi reuben, to weekly cream cheese flavours and sweet, dessert-style options. There are gluten-free bagels and vegetarian and vegan dishes alongside the coffee. Take-home packs of bagels and spreads are on offer if you want to keep the fridge stocked. Most orders sit in the budget range; it is a quick-bite stop rather than a long brunch.

Getting there and parking

Hours run 6am to 1pm Monday to Saturday and 7am to midday Sunday, so this is a breakfast-and-lunch window, not an afternoon one. Hillcrest Parade street parking is limited in the breakfast rush; nearby residential streets and the local shopping-area parking usually have room. The entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible, and there is online ordering for pickup if you are passing through with a restless dog.
