The Hills Hub Cafe

The Hills Hub Cafe is a family-run cafe in the small shopping strip on Windsor Road, McGraths Hill, doing big breakfasts and brunches for the Hawkesbury crowd. Staff are known for being genuinely welcoming to dogs, which is the main reason owners from Windsor and McGraths Hill put it on their walking circuit.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor seating, which is the natural spot for a well-behaved dog to settle while you eat. Staff are friendly toward patrons with dogs and water bowls are often on offer, though availability can vary with the setup of the day, so it is worth bringing a collapsible bowl as backup. If you have a dog that startles at busy footpaths, aim for a weekday morning when the strip is quieter and tables are easier to come by.

Worth knowing

The kitchen runs on Campos coffee and generous serve sizes, and the menu leans breakfast and brunch: ricotta pancakes, dukkah smashed avocado, a haloumi bowl and smoked salmon eggs benedict are the regular standouts, with burgers, rolls and smoothies covering the rest. Hours are tight and worth memorising: Monday 6am to 11am, Tuesday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm, and 7am to 2:30pm on weekends. Weekends fill by 9am, so early is the play.

Getting there and parking

Find it at Shop 3B/211 Windsor Road, McGraths Hill. There is free on-site parking behind the shops plus free street parking on the surrounding streets, and Windsor's town centre is a few minutes away by car.

While you are out there

For off-lead time before or after breakfast, the Pool Park Fenced Dog Park in South Windsor is the closest fully fenced option, with Alma Park West also nearby. If you want a second dog-friendly table in the area, The Second Home Cafe in Windsor and Cafe Laybes are both close.
