Sienna's cafe

Sienna's Cafe sits on a quiet suburban corner of Marrickville Road at 395 Marrickville Road, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables. It is an all-day breakfast spot with a Nepalese twist, and the calmer intersection makes it an easy place for a dog to settle over a long brunch.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables out front on lead. Indoor seating is the exception rather than the rule here, but check with staff on arrival if you need to sit inside on a wet day. Staff are welcoming to pets and water bowls are available, though the corner is small enough that bringing your own bowl is never a bad idea. The suburban corner is generally quiet, which helps nervous dogs settle.

Worth knowing

All-day breakfast, coffee and homemade muffins are the mainstays, with brekkie wraps a popular pick. The menu also runs to house pastas, burgers and Nepalese momo dumplings, which is unusual for a Sydney cafe and worth ordering if you have not tried them. Hours run early, from about 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, winding up around 3pm each day, so breakfast is the play rather than a late lunch.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 395 Marrickville Road. Free street parking is available on the surrounding streets along with a nearby car park, and the strip is well served by local buses up and down Marrickville Road.

Close by with the dogs

The fenced run at Enmore Park is a few minutes away, with big shade figs and an off-leash area along Llewellyn Street. Further south, Sydenham Green has a fully fenced leash-free area you can use around the clock. If you want a second coffee stop, Daily Dose is another Marrickville cafe on the same stretch.

Pepsi: quiet corner table, a plate of momo dumplings for the humans, and a water bowl that actually got refilled without asking.
