Harvest on First

Harvest on First is a specialty coffee and artisan bakery cafe on the ground floor of the Kon Tiki building at 55 Plaza Parade, right beside the new Maroochydore city centre. Dogs are welcome on the alfresco terrace, which you can reach straight off the footpath without passing through the indoor cafe.

The dog setup

Plan on the outdoor terrace: direct street access means you can settle a leashed dog at a ground-level table without negotiating doors or indoor aisles, and staff are accommodating about dogs, usually bringing water out. As with any footpath-adjacent terrace, a bowl of your own is a sensible backup on busy mornings.

Worth knowing

The bakery is the point of difference: proper artisan sourdoughs and fresh pastries alongside a breakfast and lunch menu with solid vegetarian and gluten-free coverage, plus cold-pressed juices and smoothies with the coffee. Hours run Monday to Friday from 7am to 2pm and Saturday from 7am to 11:30am, closed Sundays. It was built for the surrounding offices, so weekday mornings run busy and brisk.

Getting there and parking

The Kon Tiki Business Centre sits on Plaza Parade near the Maroochydore Road intersection. Free off-street parking and street bays are both available, though both fill during the weekday morning peak. Ground-level access makes arriving with a dog easy.

Close by with the dogs

The Unfenced Dog Leash Free Park along Bradman Avenue gives your dog a leash-free riverfront run nearby, keeping to voice control near the water and the road. The MET at the city centre hosts dog-friendly evening markets on the first and third Saturday of the month, and the Cotton Tree foreshore paths are on-lead for a longer stroll.
