The dog setup
The Pavilion is the only dog-friendly section; the indoor dining room stays off limits under the usual Queensland food-safety rules. Seating is table service at a measured pace, so it suits a settled dog that will lie under the table for a couple of hours, not a restless one. Book ahead and ask specifically for a dog-friendly Pavilion table, because outdoor seats are limited. Carry a portable water bowl; staff will usually fill one on request but it is not part of the setup.
The vibe
The menu pairs French bistro classics with Creole cooking: seafood gumbo, sticky beef cheeks, blackened barramundi, baked goat's cheese and beignets to finish, with a full bar, signature cocktails and a long wine list. Service is dinner-led: dinner from 5pm Tuesday to Saturday, lunch on Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. Book well ahead for weekends, and confirm current hours on the venue site before a long drive.
Getting there and parking
Duporth Avenue is the central strip in Maroochydore, with street parking along the avenue and nearby side streets. Check signed time limits and arrive early on weekend evenings, when the strip fills.
Close by with the dogs
Burn energy first: the leash-free park zones along Bradman Avenue by the Maroochy River are a few minutes away, and Cotton Tree Park's foreshore paths are on lead but shady.
