Baskin-Robbins North Lakes

This is the North Lakes branch of Baskin-Robbins, in the Anzac Retail Centre on Anzac Avenue at Mango Hill. It is a counter service scoop stop rather than a destination cafe, but dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating out front, which makes it a handy cool-down at the end of a walk in warm weather.

The dog setup

The small casual outdoor seating out front, reached straight off the retail centre footpath, is where dogs are welcome. There is no dog ice cream or pupuccino on the menu here, so bring your own dog safe treat and skip sharing human scoops, which are heavier on sugar and dairy than a dog stomach appreciates. Keep your dog settled by the table, since the footpath carries steady shopping centre traffic.

The vibe

The draw is the standard Baskin-Robbins range: a rotating run of flavours with a monthly feature, sundaes, thickshakes, take home ice cream cakes and warm options like the Belgian waffle. Staff are known for letting you sample before you commit and for handling allergy questions carefully, with dairy free options on board. Doors open 10am, running to 10pm most nights and 11pm Fridays and Saturdays, so it covers the late evening slot most dog friendly cafes do not.

Pepsi: grab a cone and walk it off. The best seat here is actually the footpath loop past the lake next door.
