Blend@Grantham is a suburban cafe and restaurant at 43 Grantham St in Grantham Farm, one of the newer Hills District releases out past Rouse Hill, and the draw for dog owners is a relaxed, leafy terrace where dogs are genuinely welcome rather than grudgingly tolerated. It is a straightforward spot: good coffee, generous plates, no complications with the dog.

The dog setup

Dogs sit with you in the outdoor courtyard and terrace, a quiet, tree-lined space set back from the busier parts of the suburb. Keep them leashed and at the table so the calm carries to other diners. Water bowls are often provided, but on busy weekend mornings bringing your own is the safer bet. The setting suits dogs that settle, and the mid-morning weekday service is the calmest window of all.

Worth knowing

The kitchen covers breakfast, brunch and lunch, with the bacon and egg roll and eggs benny doing the heavy lifting and portions running generous. Coffee is consistently rated, and the drinks list extends to milkshakes, matcha and hot chocolate, handy if the kids are in tow; there is a kids area too. Doors open 7.30am daily, closing 3pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. On-street parking on Grantham St and the surrounding residential streets is generally available.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run either side of brunch, Riverbrae Off-Leash Dog Park in Riverstone and Indwarra Avenue Reserve Fenced Dog Park in North Kellyville are both fully fenced with water and seating, and Connie Lowe Reserve is another Rouse Hill option. The Bakehouse North Kellyville is a nearby dog-friendly coffee alternative.
