Indwarra Avenue Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Indwarra Avenue Reserve is a small, fully fenced off-leash dog park on the corner of Indwarra Avenue and Sandbanks Avenue in North Kellyville, about 200 metres from North Kellyville Square. Double-gated entry and secure fencing on all sides make it a solid pick for smaller dogs and quick play sessions rather than a big run.

The dog setup

The fenced area mixes open grass with natural bushland edges, and council rates it as especially good for smaller dogs. There is a sheltered seating area plus a couple of open benches, a water tap for dogs, and rubbish and dog-waste bins on site.

The Hills Shire Council rules apply: stay inside the fenced area with your dog, keep effective control at all times, put the lead back on to enter and leave, and never leave a dog unattended. Close both gates behind you, and leash and remove any dog that turns aggressive.

Max: the fenced run is on the small side, so it fills up fast after school and work hours and on Saturday mornings. A weekday mid-morning visit is the calmest window if your dog prefers space.

The vibe

This is a neighbourhood park rather than a destination, and reviewers consistently rate it well for cleanliness and the bubbler and seating provided. Expect locals doing laps of the same routine: a quick off-lead burn, a drink from the tap, and home.

Getting there

Free street parking runs along Indwarra Avenue. It is an easy walk from the surrounding North Kellyville streets, and bus routes along nearby Withers Road cover anyone coming without a car.

Close by with the dogs

North Kellyville Square is about 200 metres away for a coffee afterwards, and The Bakehouse North Kellyville and Coffee Cuyos are both local options. The Wither's Eatery is another nearby stop for a meal with the dog.
