Archibald-Adjacent Reserve

Archibald-Adjacent Reserve is a fully fenced off-leash dog park on the corner of Stanhope Parkway and Sunnyholt Road in Stanhope Gardens, built for a secure off-lead run rather than a scenic wander.

The rules. Dogs can run off-leash inside the fenced area but must stay under effective voice control. Pick up and bin waste immediately, and note that restricted or declared dangerous breeds are not permitted in off-leash areas under Blacktown City Council rules. The council also asks owners not to bring more than two dogs per visit.

What's there. The park has full perimeter fencing, some agility equipment, a water station for dogs, a gazebo for shade, seating and a BBQ area. Poo bag dispensers are usually stocked, but bring your own as backup.

Getting there. It sits right on the corner of Stanhope Parkway and Sunnyholt Road, an easy drive from anywhere in Stanhope Gardens. It is roughly a 350-500 metre walk from the closest residential streets and bus stops, and about 2 kilometres from Kellyville Metro Station.

Nearby with the dogs. Stanhope Village Shopping Centre is about 1.3 kilometres away and has outdoor seating where leashed dogs are generally tolerated while you grab a coffee. Confirm pet policy at the specific cafe before you sit down.

Weekend mornings from 8 to 10am and weekday evenings from 5 to 6.30pm are the busiest windows. For a quieter run, aim for mid-morning to early afternoon on a weekday.
