Geebung Cafe &Takeaway

Geebung Cafe & Takeaway is a classic cafe and takeaway counter at 172 Robinson Road East, Geebung, known locally for fresh bacon and egg rolls, roast sandwiches and generous portions at fair prices. The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, on lead beside you. It is primarily a takeaway operation, so seating is casual and best suited to a quick coffee and bite rather than a long sit-down. Water is not always on hand, so bring your own bowl to be safe.

The vibe

This is a no-fuss local institution: bacon and egg rolls from about $8, eggs benny, a full GCT breakfast, burgers including a steak burger and chicken schnitzel burger, roast sandwiches with gravy, and a traditional hot box with battered savs and cabana sausages. The kitchen opens in the dark, from around 4:15am on weekdays through to 2pm, and closes on weekends, so plan it as a weekday stop.

Max: bacon and egg roll at 6am, dog at my feet, on the road by quarter past. Old school and all the better for it.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Robinson Road East in Geebung, with free street parking along the road and adjacent side streets plus a small car park on site. Geebung railway station is about 300 metres away, an easy walk if you are passing through with the dog.

Close by with the dogs

The Downfall Creek Dog Park and the Brickyard Road Dog Park are both in the suburb, and the Wavell dog off-leash area is a short drive south for a run before or after breakfast. For a second coffee nearby, Retroespresso at Wavell Heights is the local pick.
