Rosie's Kitchen Pantry

Rosie's Kitchen Pantry is a small, homestyle cafe on Culcairn Drive in Frankston South, on the Mornington Peninsula side of Melbourne's southeast. It is explicitly dog friendly, and the draw is honest homemade food, good coffee and a relaxed local crowd rather than a destination brunch scene.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the front, outdoor and courtyard seating on leads. Staff are accommodating and often bring a water bowl out, but carry your own to be safe on busy days. The indoor room is compact, so plan on an outdoor table with your dog tucked under it.

Worth knowing

The menu changes regularly and leans home-cooked: eggs benedict and focaccia come up often, the chai latte has its fans, and the homemade cakes and generous serving sizes are what regulars mention most. The cafe has a quirky, collected feel to the decor that suits the pantry name. It trades Tuesday to Friday from 8am to 3pm and weekends to 2pm, closed Mondays.

Getting there and parking

Culcairn Drive runs through the residential heart of Frankston South, with a small lot and street parking nearby, so arriving by car with the dog is straightforward. It is a short drive from Olivers Hill and the Frankston foreshore.

Close by with the dogs

Robinsons Park on Robinsons Road gives your dog an off-lead run a few minutes away, and the Keast Park off-leash beach in Seaford is the Frankston area's year-round dog beach if you want sand and water in the outing.
