What visitors mention
TANK sixtyfour is a relaxed neighbourhood cafe on Collins Avenue in Edge Hill, right at the start of the Red Arrow walking track and a short stroll from the Cairns Botanic Gardens. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating and it is a genuinely easy stop before or after a walk.
Dog setup. Dogs are permitted in the sheltered outdoor seating on the footpath side of the cafe. Water bowls are provided for visiting dogs. Keep dogs leashed and close, the seating area is compact and shares space with foot traffic.
Good to know. The menu runs to brunch classics, egg dishes, burgers and good coffee, and staff are consistently described as welcoming to dogs. It opens early and tends to wind down by mid-afternoon, so mornings are the move.
Getting there. Street parking runs along Collins Avenue but fills up on weekend mornings, so allow a few extra minutes to find a spot. The cafe sits on Edge Hill's main strip, an easy walk from the Botanic Gardens and Centenary Lakes.
Go early on weekends before the strip gets busy, then walk it off on the Red Arrow circuit right behind the cafe.
