Provence Garden Cafe Eastwood

Provence Garden Cafe sits on West Parade in Eastwood, opposite the train line, and its drawcard is an outdoor courtyard built around a koi pond and thick garden greenery. All-day breakfast, crepes, toasties and the house banana latte come out to garden tables, and it feels more like a borrowed backyard than a street-side cafe.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor courtyard and garden seating on a lead; the indoor room stays people-only. The space is roomy enough to tuck a dog under the table, a real advantage over the usual footpath strip. Keep dogs off the furniture and away from the koi pond, and bring your own travel bowl, because a dedicated dog bowl is not guaranteed.

The cafe opens 8am to 4:30pm every day. Weekday mornings are calm; weekend brunch fills both the courtyard and the surrounding street parking, so book around it or come early. It is a settle-in spot rather than a quick-coffee counter, which suits owners with a dog that has already had its walk.

Getting there and parking

Find it at 35-43 West Parade, Eastwood, a short walk from Eastwood Station, which makes it an easy stop for anyone arriving by train with a dog. Street parking nearby gets competitive during weekend brunch, with town-centre parking structures a short walk away as backup.

Close by with the dogs

Darvall Park in Denistone has an off-leash area and shaded walking tracks a few minutes' drive away, and the Charity Creek Cascades Dog Park adds a fenced option at West Ryde. In summer the Meadowbank Dog Beach gives the river swim, and Afterglow Eatery at Epping is the region's other big dog-welcoming brunch room.
