What visitors mention
West Epping Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully enclosed, 24/7 off-leash area on Dent Street, built with double-gate entries so dogs can't bolt on the way in or out. It sits inside a larger recreation reserve with a playground, toilets and barbecues, which makes it an easy base for a longer outing.
The rules. Dogs may run off-leash only inside the fenced enclosure. Owners need to keep voice control over their dogs and stay inside the fence line while their dog is off lead. It is a single mixed-size zone, not separated into small and large dog areas, so bring an extra-cautious eye if you have a small or nervous dog. Waste bags and bins are supplied and owners are expected to clean up.
What's there. The park has double-gate entry for safe access, bench seating, a drinking station with a dog bowl, deciduous trees for shade, and lighting for early or late visits. The wider reserve adds a playground, public toilets and barbecue areas if you're making a morning of it.
Getting there. There's a large free car park on site, with the dog park itself accessed via Dent Street. Several bus routes run along nearby Beecroft Road if you're coming without a car.
Nearby with the dogs. Afterglow Eatery on Epping Park Drive is a short walk or drive away and is genuinely dog-friendly, with water bowls and occasional treats. 2 Bunny's Cafe on Oxford Street also has outdoor seating and water bowls for dogs.

Weekday mornings are the quiet window, good for nervous or small dogs. Weekends and weekday evenings after 5pm draw the biggest crowds, so aim either side of those if you want the run of the place.
