What visitors mention
Colbarra Place Reserve is a fully fenced, off-leash dog park at the north end of Colbarra Reserve in West Pennant Hills. Bordered by native bushland, it is a secure, popular spot for locals in the Hills Shire looking to let their dogs run without worrying about the perimeter.
The rules. The entire park is designated off-leash, secured by a 1.5m high perimeter fence with a double-gated entry. Always ensure both gates are securely closed behind you to prevent any escapes. Owners must maintain voice control over their dogs at all times and are strictly required to pick up dog waste, using the provided bags and bins. If a dog becomes unsafe or aggressive, it must be removed from the park immediately.
What's there. The ground is a mix of grass and concrete, connected by a paved pathway that provides solid disabled access. There are four stainless steel benches where you can sit, plus a dedicated bubbler and water station to keep your dog hydrated. Free doggy bags and bins are provided on-site. Locals often bring a shared box of dog toys, though this is informal and not guaranteed to be there every visit.
Getting there. You will find the park at 16Z Colbarra Pl, West Pennant Hills NSW 2125, situated right at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential area. Street parking near the entrance is limited. While Pennant Hills Station is the nearest train line, the area is best accessed by car.
Nearby with the dogs. If you want to make a day of it in the Hills District, you can grab a bite at Remy Cafe & Bistro or check out another fenced run at Greenway Park Fenced Dog Park in Cherrybrook.

The park gets busy on Sunday mornings and afternoons, Saturday mornings, and weekday evenings. For a quieter run, aim for Monday or Wednesday evenings. With its generally friendly atmosphere and regular local crowd, this space is especially good for social dogs who enjoy company.
