Santo Cafe & Restaurant

Santo Cafe & Restaurant is a small, Greek-leaning cafe in the Ward Place precinct of Dural, with the alfresco tables out the front open to dogs. It is a community cafe rather than a big venue, so the outdoor seating is limited and worth planning around.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the footpath tables out the front, which open straight off the pavement. NSW food rules keep dogs out of the indoor dining room, so this is strictly an alfresco table, and staff are accommodating within that.

There is no confirmed water or treat service, so toss a portable bowl in the bag rather than counting on one appearing. A settled dog that is happy to lie at a footpath table is the right fit here.

The vibe

The kitchen runs Greek dishes alongside a standard brunch list, and the moussaka comes up again and again as the order to beat. Weekend brunch is the busy window, so a weekday or mid-afternoon visit is easier with a dog.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 1/7 Ward Place, Dural, with free parking in the Ward Place shopping centre car park next door. It is a drive-to venue rather than a walk-to one for most visitors.
