Green Vibes Cafe

Green Vibes Cafe sits inside Swane's Nurseries at 490 Galston Road, Dural, so a visit here means eating among the plants and being able to wander the nursery grounds with your dog on lead before or after. It is a proper outing rather than a quick coffee stop.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor courtyard, gazebo and undercover seating set within the nursery grounds, which stays calm and shaded. Keep your dog on lead while dining and browsing. Water bowls are often put out, but bring your own to be sure. As a food venue, dogs stay in the outdoor and undercover areas rather than inside.

The vibe

The coffee is Campos, and the kitchen runs a fresh seasonal brunch and lunch menu: smashed avo on sourdough, warm Thai beef salad, housemade salmon cakes, burgers with chips, savoury crepes and scones, with a kids menu for families. The nursery setting is the real draw, and it doubles as somewhere to browse on lead. Hours run from 8:30am, with the cafe closing mid-afternoon on weekdays and later on weekends.

Pepsi: Being able to potter through the nursery on lead turns a coffee stop into a proper outing, so leave a bit of extra time.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is at 490 Galston Road, Dural, with free onsite parking in the Swane's Nurseries car park. The flat, wide nursery layout is easy to navigate with a dog or a dog stroller, which is not something most cafe courtyards can offer.

Make a day of it

The Fagan Park fenced dog park at Galston is a short drive north for an off-lead run after brunch, and the Pyes Creek swing bridge track gives you a bushwalk option closer to home. For another Dural coffee, Benzin Cafe is the local alternative.
