Griggs Creek Providore

Griggs Creek Providore is a rustic cafe and providore in Curlewis on the Bellarine Peninsula, part cafe and part regional produce store, with dogs welcome on the outdoor deck. The dog setup

Dogs can join you in the outdoor deck seating area, on lead and settled beside the table. The deck is the spot to ask for on a fine Bellarine morning; bring your own water for the dog and keep an eye on the deck's edge if yours is a wanderer. The providore side of the business means a compact, produce-lined interior, so the deck is where dogs belong.

Coffee, produce and high tea

The coffee is solid and the cabinet is house-made, but the real draw is the shelves: curated local and regional goods from Bellarine growers, makers and suppliers, plus fresh produce, high teas and workshops in the expanded space. It is the kind of stop where you come for breakfast and leave with a bag of pantry supplies. Trading runs Wednesday to Sunday in the current setup, from early morning to early afternoon, so check the socials before a Monday visit.

Getting there and parking

Curlewis sits between Geelong and Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 20 minutes from central Geelong via the Portarlington Road. Parking is at the door in the Curlewis shopping area, and the flat streets around the village suit an on-lead wander.

Close by with the dogs

Tuckerberry Hill at Drysdale is the closest dog-friendly eat up the hill, and Noble Foods at Leopold is a good stop on the drive in from Geelong. The Barwon River trails make a proper on-lead walk on the way through.
