Croydon Brew

Croydon Brew is a small cafe inside Gallery NTK on Edwin Street North, Croydon, pouring coffee and serving a light food menu alongside the gallery's working art studio. It is a village-scale stop rather than a brunch destination, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, which fits the relaxed, creative atmosphere of the place.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the courtyard and footpath seating out front. The indoor space is shared with the art studio, so access there is limited regardless of species. Staff are dog-friendly and will generally bring out a water bowl on request, worth confirming when you order rather than assuming. With a handful of tables and a local crowd, it suits a settled dog who is happy to lie at your feet while you work through a long black.

Worth knowing

Regulars come for the coffee, with the iced mocha and long black both regular orders, and the menu is light food and pastries rather than a full brunch list. The gallery connection shapes the vibe: art on the walls, occasional painting sessions, and grazing box collaborations with the studio next door. It opens Monday to Saturday from 7:30am, closing early afternoon, and is closed Sundays, so it is a daytime, weekday-friendly stop.

Getting there and parking

The cafe is a short walk from Croydon railway station, which is the easiest way in. Street parking is usually available on Edwin Street North and the surrounding residential side streets if you are driving through with the dog.

While you're out there

The tree-lined streets around Croydon village make an easy on-lead wander before or after coffee, and Croydon Park over on Georges River Road gives you a bigger stretch of green a short drive away. For a second coffee nearby, Excelsior Jones is over in Ashfield and 3 Tomatoes sits in Ashbury, both within a few minutes of the village.
