Drip Coffee Traders

Drip Coffee Traders is a small, locally loved espresso bar on the Collaroy Plateau shopping strip, open from 6am on weekdays and 7am on weekends until early afternoon. Espresso and cold drip are the drawcard, and it ranks among the more genuinely dog-friendly cafes on the northern beaches: dogs settle at the open-air tables out front, and the team is used to dogs underfoot.

The dog setup

Seating is outdoor only, in front of the shop on Aubreen Street, with no indoor area for dogs. Well behaved visitors are sometimes surprised with a puppyccino or a Roo Chew treat, and water bowls are part of the routine. Keep dogs leashed at your table since it is a working footpath with steady foot traffic, and tuck larger dogs in close when the morning queue builds.

Worth knowing

Beyond the coffee, quick breakfast and brunch bites cover the food side, with croissants and egg rolls among the regular orders. It has a real community feel, the kind of strip shop where the barista knows the regulars' dogs by name. Hours finish early (1pm weekdays, noon weekends), so it is a morning venue by definition. Weekday mornings are calmest; weekends bring the local crowd out early, so arrive before mid-morning if you want a table rather than a takeaway cup.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on the Aubreen Street shops on the plateau above Collaroy Beach. Free street parking and a small free car park sit right by the shops, making this an easy local stop rather than a destination drive.

Close by with the dogs
