Goji Granola Bar & Cafe

Goji Granola Bar & Cafe is the all-day breakfast and brunch spot in the Santa Cruz Village shopping strip at 7/60 Santa Cruz Boulevard, Clear Island Waters, and one of the Gold Coast's genuinely dog-keen cafes: dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating, and the counter keeps a dedicated doggy treat menu that includes Hugo's doggie ice cream.

The dog setup

Dogs join you in the outdoor seating along the village walkway. Order from the doggy menu and your dog gets its own course while you work through the main one; it is a paved village setting, so leads stay short and water comes with the treat. The cafe opens 6am to 4pm every day of the week, which makes it an easy first stop before the canal-side walks around Clear Island Waters.

The menu

The kitchen is health-leaning and generous: acai bowls topped with coco fluff, eggs benedict with homemade hollandaise, tempura rosti, make-your-own granola and vegan options throughout. Coco whip and the house-made granola are the signatures people come back for, and there is beer and wine for a slower afternoon sitting.

Getting there and parking

Santa Cruz Village sits off Bundall Road in the middle of Clear Island Waters, five minutes from the beachside centres to the east and easy in from the M1 via Robina Parkway. Parking is right at the strip, and the streets around the canals are quiet for an on-lead wander.

Close by with the dogs

The Robina Parkway Park fenced dog park is the suburb's own off-lead option, and the Cabana off-leash area at Benowa is close by too. Pete's On Upton at Bundall is another dog-friendly cafe within a short drive.
