A busy local brunch spot on Charman Road in Cheltenham, a couple of minutes from Westfield Southland. Big flavours, friendly staff and a dog-welcoming footpath out the front.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the footpath seating out the front. Be honest about the space, it is limited and can be a squeeze with a couple of big dogs or at peak, and you are on a busy footpath. Water bowls turn up sometimes, so pack your own to be safe.

Good to know. The magic coffee has a following, and the kitchen does a hearty brunch - Bob's Big Breaky, Reuben sandwiches and the like. Open seven days, from 6am weekdays and 6:30am weekends.

Getting there. At 256 Charman Road, on a busy commercial strip. Street parking on Charman Road is hard to land at peak, so try the side streets. It is a short walk from Cheltenham Station.

Nearby with the dogs. Cheltenham Park is a short drive for open running after brunch. The Bayside coastal path and Mentone foreshore are a little further south for a longer leg-stretch - check council signs for off-leash hours.
