High Life

High Life is a relaxed, health-focused cafe on Jonson Street in central Byron. It makes a point of being dog-friendly: pups are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it an easy stop on a walk through town.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio and footpath seating, on lead. Indoor seating is for people only, as standard. The team is openly dog-friendly and runs the odd dog-welcome session, so the atmosphere is settled rather than precious. Water is easy to come by, though it is worth carrying your own bowl at peak.

Good to know. It is rated for health-conscious food, with bircher muesli, mushroom toast and a sweet potato and feta dish among the standouts, plus adaptogenic and collagen drinks for something different.

Getting there. It is at Shop 5/103 Jonson Street, a short walk from the town centre. Street parking on Jonson and the nearby residential streets is limited at peak, so walking in is the simpler option if you are already in town.

Nearby with the dogs. Main Beach is a short walk away for an on-lead stroll, and the Tallow Beach dog exercise area is a short drive south for off-lead running.
