ATLAS KAFFE is a small, well-regarded neighbourhood coffee shop on Canopus Street in Bridgeman Downs, operating inside the Mac Family Chiropractic clinic building but open to the public, and it has a genuinely welcoming attitude to dogs, including a resident cafe dog on site.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area, and some visitors report they are allowed inside as well, so it is worth checking with staff on the day rather than assuming either way. Water is generally available for dogs, but bring your own bowl as backup. Because the shop is compact and shares a building with the clinic, a calm dog matters more here than at a big open-air cafe, and staff will tell you where they would like you to sit.

The brews come from Q Roasters, and reviewers consistently praise the coffee quality and the friendly staff, with a loyal local following for such a small suburban spot. The gingerbread iced latte gets a run through the cooler months, and the snack cabinet covers a quick bite alongside the coffee. Hours are early and short: 5am to 11am on weekdays, 5am to midday Saturday and 7am to midday Sunday, so it is a morning coffee stop by design.

Find it at 5 Canopus Street, Bridgeman Downs, in the same small commercial strip as Keeper Coffee, with free parking on-site and on the street out front. For a walk before or after, the off-leash area at Coolabah Crescent Park is close by, with Clarrie Beckingham Reserve and Kim Grayson Park also a short drive away.
