What visitors mention
A busy bayside brunch cafe at 299 Beach Road, directly opposite the beach crossing and a natural stop mid-walk. It is a genuine dog-friendly local, with a covered courtyard out the back that works year-round.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the footpath tables out front and, better still, in the enclosed, shaded courtyard at the rear, which is comfortable in both summer and winter. The easiest approach with a dog is through the back car park straight into the courtyard, avoiding the busy front path. Water bowls are usually provided; bring your own to be safe.
Good to know. Reviewers rate the croissants and the coffee, and it is a well-placed brunch stop after a run along the bayside trails. Dogs stay in the outdoor and courtyard areas rather than inside.
Getting there. Beachside parking sits across the road and gets busy; the rear car park is more convenient with a dog and feeds straight into the courtyard.
Nearby with the dogs. The bayside cliff-top trails and Black Rock Beach are directly opposite, with parklands and open space a short stroll away.
