Two Farm Girls

Two Farm Girls is a community-minded cafe at 133 Nepean Highway, Aspendale, right on the main road and an easy stop mid-walk. It is genuinely dog-friendly, with treats kept behind the counter and the occasional free puppuccino handed over the bar, and it rates 4.5 with regulars for the welcome as much as the food.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath seating along the front. Staff are used to canine customers and other owners tend to gather here after walks along the beach end of the suburb, so it is a sociable stop rather than a quiet one. Seating is street-side, so a settled dog on a lead is what works best. Bring a travel bowl for water, especially on warmer days.

The kitchen runs a full brunch list, wraps, toasties and homemade cakes, with keto options and poke bowls among the lighter choices. The house quirks get mentioned often: peanut butter lattes, homemade hash browns and fritters, carrot cake, and themed cups that change with the seasons. Hours are 7am to 3pm weekdays and 7.30am to 3pm weekends.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on the Nepean Highway service road, with street parking out front and more behind the cafe, and it is a short walk from Aspendale Railway Station for anyone arriving on foot with the dog.

Beach before or after coffee

Aspendale Beach is a few minutes away, and the City of Kingston keeps an off-leash dog area there. Timing matters: dogs can be off-lead on the sand only between sunrise and 10am, and restrictions tighten over summer, so read the council signage before letting go of the lead. For a fenced run instead, Iluka Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the local option, and Browns Reserve is the other nearby off-leash ground.
