Gasworks Cafe

Gasworks Cafe has made dogs part of the daily routine on Graham Street. The cafe's own site states that dogs are spoilt with treats and love, and invites patrons to bring their companion along. Regulars report pup cups and doggy treats arriving at the table, and the cabinet leans on house made treats, muffins and sausage rolls that make the wait worthwhile.

The vibe

This is a small, busy corner cafe in a strip of Albert Park shops, with outdoor seating out front where dogs settle in for the morning. Staff are regularly described as friendly, and the kitchen turns out breakfast and lunch through to the early afternoon. Keep the visit to breakfast or an early lunch: the doors close at 2:30pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends, earlier than most suburban cafes.

Mornings are the peak, particularly on weekends when the local dog walking crowd passes through on the way to the bay.
