Stormflower Vineyard

Stormflower Vineyard is a certified-organic boutique cellar door at 3503 Caves Road in the heart of Wilyabrup, pouring estate-grown, low-intervention wines from a small family-run property. It is one of the few Margaret River cellar doors where dogs are allowed inside as well as out, which makes it the all-weather pick for a tasting with your dog in tow.

The dog setup

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome inside the cellar door itself, so a rainy day does not leave anyone tethered outside, and the garden and grounds suit a settle-in session on fine days. The team provides picnic rugs if you would rather sit on the grass, and lawn games keep the group busy between pours. It is an intimate space, so bring your own water bowl and treats, and keep the lead on throughout.

The vibe

Tastings here feel more like visiting a knowledgeable friend than working through a commercial line-up, with a small team and relaxed pacing. Everything is certified organic, from vineyard to bottle, with cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and chardonnay alongside standout sparkling styles: the Cremant and the pet-nat Aurora draw particular praise. Cheese and charcuterie platters with European cheeses and the house-made grape chutney are made for slow afternoons in the garden. The vines date to the mid-1990s, and the hillside setting gives proper views over the vines.

Max: allowed indoors, on a rainy day, next to a cheese board. This is the good list.

Getting there and parking

The vineyard sits directly on Caves Road in Wilyabrup, roughly ten minutes north of Margaret River town, with on-site parking at the cellar door. It is open daily from 11am to 5pm, and weekdays are the quietest time to enjoy the intimate setting.
